Steps to Clean an Oil Fryer:

Step 1: Unplug the Device

The first step is to unplug the device. An oil fryer works on electricity, so you need to switch off the device and remove the plug for safety measure. Keep the power cord away from water or oil.

Step 2: Let it Cool Down

An oil fryer can become very hot when you use it. It takes nearly two hours for the appliance and the oil to cool down. You need to avoid touching the appliance when it is hot. The oil can be dangerous. So you need to let the oil cool down before you actually start cleaning the fryer.

Step 3: Remove Frying Basket

This is the basket in which you keep the raw food and then dip into the oil. It helps you to easily add and remove foods from the oil without spilling anything. You need to remove the frying basket from the fryer once the oil cools down. Make sure your drain the basket so that drops of oil doesn’t fall onto the counter of the appliance.
